Jackie & Dave

JackieDaveBlog-19.jpg

Saturday's wedding was a fantastic way to close out our 2016 wedding year. We had a great time capturing life-long connections between most of the guests. It's so refreshing to see true friendships that have lasted so long. Jackie and Dave's day came together beautifully.

Jackie and Dave were not only surrounded by amazing people, but also amazing vendors that did a fantastic job to make their day special.

Alana & Eric

AlanaEricBlog-16.jpg

We had an epic Michigan wedding last weekend. Even though Alana and Eric live in Chicago, they wanted to have their wedding in Michigan where they're both from. They had most of their guest travel from Chicago and enjoy the weekend in Michigan with them.

Their wedding day was flawless and you could tell how much love and thoughtfulness was poured into the day and their union. It was just beautiful from start to finish.

Monica & Brett

Monica and Brett had the most beautiful day for their wedding. The weather was nice, but it was beautiful because I could truly FEEL their love. The excitement before the ceremony, the conversations of anticipation they felt towards finally seeing each other, and the toasts all reflected how Monica and Brett are always looking for ways to serve and honor each other.

Absolutely beautiful.

I'm so thankful for all the amazing vendors that contributed to making their day so special.

Nina and Jared

On Saturday morning, there were some clouds crowding an overcast sky, but by the time Nina and Jared were married later in the afternoon, all that was a distant memory. The weather was perfect, which made their outdoor ceremony at the Public Landing Restaurant in Lockport, Illinois that much more beautiful. Of course that wonderful weather was just a small part of their heart-warming celebration. They were surrounded by loyal friends and loving family, and they sure had a lot of fun.

Alicia and Taek

I'm still on a high from yesterday's wedding. Alicia and Taek planned a flawless wedding day that was filled with great meaning and honor to their families and to God. Their ceremony was an amazing time of worship.

The rain managed to clear up just in time for portraits giving us great weather that included a nice breeze. We are so happy to have been part of their beautiful day.

Julie and Kevin

I love how Julie & Kevin's wedding truly spoke to who they are as a couple. They met in college during a Production class (Production 2 to be exact), when they re-enacted a scene from Star Wars, so of course they had to incorporate that into their wedding. They had a Han & Leia cake topper and mini "light sabers" for all the guests. The tables also had different movie/tv themes.

The improv group Kevin is part of even performed a several skits acting out scenes from their relationship after dinner.  It was unique, hilarious, and totally them.

Ryan and Amy

It was a beautiful weekend for a wedding. Ryan and Amy had an amazing day filled with their love. Their wedding day was centered around their strong faith—It was evident in every conversation, every prayer, and every toast that Ryan and Amy felt incredibly blessed to have found each other.

It was our pleasure to photograph this day for Amy and Ryan. I (Karina) have known Ryan since high school, and when I met Amy, I could tell they had found their soul mates. We're so happy for them and glad to be part of their celebration.

Rob and Carter

It was a beautifully perfect day for Rob and Carter. Their family and friends came together from all over the country to celebrate their love.

Many of the details, from the veil and headpiece to the gorgeous aisle runner to the accessories the girls wore outside were hand-made by Carter's mom, and everything came together so elegantly. As stunning as all the details were, the focus was on Rob and Carter. Their commitment to each other and the admiration of their guests was so apparent. Congratulations, you two.

Christian & Luz

It was such a blessing to be part of Christian and Luz's wedding. It was filled with so much emotion and love. Their huge bridal party, made up of mostly family, brought so much laughter and support to their day.

Even though it rained in the morning, the early showers gave the day a nice temperature for their outdoor reception. And the dance party at the end...amazing.

Lauren and Kyle

Lauren and Kyle's wedding day was simply amazing. The day which was predicted to have stormy weather had the sun poking through the clouds all day. Lauren and Kyle have been together for 10 years, and it was incredible to see such a great system of support they have established through both their families and their friends.

We loved every minute of their wedding, and had a great time taking the trip up to Wisconsin. #loandkyle2015

There were so many vendors who made their day amazing:

Make-up and Hair- Alexa Raynor from Salon Diva

Dresses, tux and accessories - Elegance

Shoes-Etsy

Flowers-Inspired by Nature

Day of Coordinator- Mary Raynor

Catering- Rockman's Catering

Kim and Jim

Kim and Jim's wedding was amazing. She was a stunning bride and I could see the joy in her face all day. When Jim saw her during their first look he just beamed.

It was great how relaxed everyone was throughout the day, even when rain meant kept us indoors. The bridal party was enjoying every moment.

During the toasts and speeches, you could see how Kim and Jim have formed close and long-lasting relationships. The many friends and family who stayed until the very last dance made their wedding day a constant celebration.

We worked with some amazing vendors that did a great job in bringing the whole day together:

Alex and Tuyen

Alex and Tuyen met at Loyola University and ended up taking several classes together. They spent time together because they had friends in common, but eventually realized how inevitable their love was. Their wedding showed how meaningful it can be for two families to come together. The day was filled with celebration, ceremony, and support for these two.

The awesome DJs from X-Fade Entertainment kept the dance floor full all night. They were great!

Aaron and Adrienne

The forecast called for rain. All morning long, dark clouds floated overhead. However, as guests started to find their seats, the sun arrived, illuminating everything. According to Aaron, that’s exactly what he and Adrienne were praying for.

Prayer permeated their wedding. Their attendants prayed for them before they saw each other. Their fathers prayed a blessing over them before they left the altar. After the lantern launch, guests crowded the dance floor and prayed for them as they left for the night.

Beyond these powerful moments, their day was filled with beautiful decorations, delicious food, and plenty of joy.

Amanda and Dan

Laughter filled the apartment as Dan and his groomsmen prepared for the wedding. He and Amanda have been looking forward to their day for over a year, and they did everything they could to make it special.

The ceremony and reception both took place at The Rookery in downtown Chicago, which was one of the most visually stunning venues we’ve worked in. As they stood at the bottom of the marble staircase, Amanda and Dan were completely focused on each other. It was a privilege to be part of their wedding day.

Nick and Randi

The rain couldn’t dampen Randi and Nick’s spirits on their wedding day. Their kindness and warmth was tangible.

Although the ceremony had to be moved inside, the rain stopped long enough for us to take most of the portraits outside. The light was beautiful and the fall colors were at their height.

Not only did we have an awesome couple and great light, the DJs from MDM Entertainment were phenomenal. The dance floor was packed the entire evening.

We’re so excited to show you the pictures.

Bek and Rodney

Bek and Rodney have really been looking forward to their wedding day. They even created a few hashtags to build the anticipation. Here are a just a few:

#becomingMrsMoody
#forevermoody
#moodywedding14
#thecountdownisalmostoverfolks

Their day was an absolute joy. Bek was completely relaxed as a bride. She was surrounded by warmth and took comfort in knowing that she would spend the rest of her life with her best friend. There was almost full attendance at the reception which shows how loved and cherished these two are. Bek has touched so many lives with her kindness and I know they will touch many more together.

Louise and Sheldon

Sheldon has been pursuing Louise, who is from the UK, from the moment he first saw her in music class. As you can see from the photos, he’s pretty excited to be married to her.

As Louise’s father gave his speech, he mentioned that Sheldon’s desire is to be able to make Louise laugh. As a guest at their wedding, you didn’t have to wait long to see that happen. Sheldon’s jokes and Louise’s laughter set the tone for the whole day as two families and two distinct cultures came together.

It was an intimate ceremony and reception at the Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oakbook. The dance floor was packed for hours, thanks to the best wedding band we’ve ever heard. What a wedding.

Joy and Anthony

I heard people talking about “#teamkasper82″ throughout the whole day. I’m sure if you search for that hashtag you will find a ton of photos from Saturday. As the day progressed it was evident how Joy and Anthony weren’t just forming a team as husband and wife, they both had friends and family rallying around them as a team to provide encouragement, support and love. It was an amazing thing to witness.

I honestly don’t think Joy and Anthony’s wedding could have gone better. The day was so relaxed, everything was on schedule, and the bride and groom were filled with an incredible amount of excitement.
