Metts Photo

Moments matter. Because your photographs will be with you for the rest of your lives, we know telling your wedding story is a huge responsibility.

From start to finish, we’re a part of your wedding day. We always have at least two photographers shooting different moments as they happen. Each wedding commission includes an engagement session so that we can get to know you and your fiancĂ© before the wedding day.

If you’d like to see more of our work, or if you’re interested in working with us, we’d love to have a conversation with you. While we’re based in the Chicago area, we’re open to any location. Please contact us.

Bek & Rodney

Top

It was a joy spending time with these two on Saturday. Bek grew up in Itasca, in a house right next to the Springbrook Nature Center where we did these photos. Such a beautiful, secluded corner of the neighborhood. Near the end of the shoot, we made our way over to the local Starbucks where they first met. It’s always neat to retrace a couple’s steps like this, since these places hold a lot of memories.

Rodney is always putting a smile on Bek’s face. The way they care for each other is so beautiful. As we talked about their wedding, we enjoyed hearing about how much they’re excited, not just for the big day, but for the many years of marriage following it.

Louise & Sheldon

Top

Sheldon has been pursuing Louise, who is from the UK, from the moment he first saw her in music class. As you can see from the photos, he’s pretty excited to be married to her.

As Louise’s father gave his speech, he mentioned that Sheldon’s desire is to be able to make Louise laugh. As a guest at their wedding, you didn’t have to wait long to see that happen. Sheldon’s jokes and Louise’s laughter set the tone for the whole day as two families and two distinct cultures came together.

It was an intimate ceremony and reception at the Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oakbook. The dance floor was packed for hours, thanks to the best wedding band we’ve ever heard. What a wedding.

Aaron & Adrienne

Top

The forecast called for rain. All morning long, dark clouds floated overhead. However, as guests started to find their seats, the sun arrived, illuminating everything. According to Aaron, that’s exactly what he and Adrienne were praying for.

Prayer permeated their wedding. Their attendants prayed for them before they saw each other. Their fathers prayed a blessing over them before they left the altar. After the lantern launch, guests crowded the dance floor and prayed for them as they left for the night.

Beyond these powerful moments, their day was filled with beautiful decorations, delicious food, and plenty of joy.
